Volvo!

Yesterday as we were walking back from Bud, having raided the reduced section in Bunnpris coming away with all manner of interesting things..., we noticed several old Volvos in the campsite and had a closer look. A friendly man came over and explained that it was a gathering of Volvo Amazon owners a car which was produced from 1956 - 1970 and now has quite a cult following. Most of them were driving from Oslo, some 500+km away and therefore had proved they were all still in good working order! The group were meeting in the campsite for the night before heading over the Atlantic road in the morning. He showed us under the hood of his Volvo, it looked immaculate, something to be said for Volvos eh?! (Are we a little biased?!) With all cameras flat we decided to head back to Bud in the morning when they would all be getting ready to leave for the famous bridges.

Need to improve our Norwegian, we thought it might be some kind of cheese... It was dough!

So this morning we walked back to the campsite and by now all the cars had gathered somewhere around 50, including some other interesting looking Volvos!! So we had a good look around before watching them heading along the road. So maybe our secret is out, we're not really in Norway to travel the coast by boat, with BMWs a few weeks ago and Volvos today we are here to attend car shows!!!

Spectators out for the Volvos!

Thats surely not a Volvo Amazon!!

A nice relaxing spot
