We are still ashore in Harøysund, having finished all that we can aboard before the pump arrives which is due to be this coming week.
We went to Bryggen I Bud on Thursday, traditionally Fiskeboller day! When we were in Norway in 2014 we found these Fish Balls at a restaurant buffet and having had nothing like them before were a little unsure of them! Traditions are traditions and we thought we would give them another go! The bryggen I bud is a fantastic fish restaurant and where better to try Fiskeboller, which are in basic terms a fish and potato ball.
Norwegian diet is full of fish, and so having last time confused them for everything from potatos to boiled eggs maybe we should have been able to guess they were fish based!
The restaurant had a great buffet with a choice of three different balls and meats and vegetables as well.
We really enjoyed the food, although we shied away from the sourmilk drink, something to try next time!!
This weekend Bud with a population of around 700 was host to a BMW owners get together, with over 700 BMWs arriving!! From your standard BMW to the modified polished beast, and of course the BMW bubble car!! Had we not have had a heads up to this we would have figured the people of Bud love BMWs!!
They drive up the Atlantic road too, what amazing scenery, hopefully in the next few weeks we will be going there too, albeit under the road not on it!
