Quickstep

One thing were often asked is how do you fit 3 people on a 7.5 m rib...
Not easily is the answer....! Paul had made for us some wonderfully smart wheelhouse beds which gives us that extra space without taking up extra room. As you can see in the photo there are two boards which slot in to various battens and create a bed above the steering wheels and dashboard. There are two of these covered in foam and materiel ( with thanks to Anne!) They make a bed out of an otherwise wasted space. There is then one person sleeping below on foam, not that that's any more spacious with all our clothes, tools, foods etc that has to be stored too. We are all looking forward to having a comfy mattress again but the beds we have couldn't be better considering the size of the boat.
We have a lot of deck space now the inflatable tank has been emptied so more room to sit and stand in the evenings. The engine cover has a great cushion (again thanks to Anne!) Which makes a handy seat, or table!
Cooking arragenments....?
A little oven! And a little kettle, along with Daniels bbq and What more could you want? Maybe not cordon bleu every night! Yet we have had a fairly good mix of food considering.
Toilet arrangements!!? We have a fully functional sea toilet! Although it hasn't been used yet!! Nobody has been brave enough to be the first so as yet we all cross our legs until we find a WC on land!! Staying at anchor over the next few days might change that!!!
