Lots happening!

A busy few days. a stunning flat calm fell over us for just minutes last night before the seas got choppier.
We had invited our first guests aboard since Quickstep has been afloat. Paul the wheelhouse builder and his wife Marie joined us for a wine and a trip round the Calf of Eday.  Paul turned up in suitably Arctic clothing
It showed Pauls confidence in his wheelhouse that he would come out for a sail!  Also probably one of the only times we will be serenaded by live ukulele music!
A lovely evening!

Also our first interview on Radio Orkney this morning and more interviews since!  Excuse the awkwardness https://soundcloud.com/radio-orkney

We are delighted more importantly with the arrival of our third crewmember Daniel Elves! Great to get the whole crew together and starting to the final preparations. Weather is not suitable for leaving yet so we have time to work on the last few essentials. Looking forward to the next few days of work and planning, as well as the now imminent departure!!

Daniels arrival has once again reminded us of the wonderful work of the Woolverstone Ward at Ipswich Hospital and we cannot thank you enough for your support towards our just giving site.

Again a side note, is this the biggest jellyfish ever?! Or are we going to face hundreds of these on the way!
