Stoksund - Bessaker

With weather a bit windier for a few days we stayed in Lysoysund waiting for it to improve. We are now just getting to the beginning of the national summer holidays and so places are starting to get slightly busier. We headed onwards at the first opportunity of calmer weather aiming for Stoksund. A small marina we had read about in the guide books. We pulled in and having been sitting aboard for several hours jumped ashore to stretch the legs. As we were passing a man on a neighbouring boat asked if we had sorted our engine, we couldn't believe it but he knew someone we had met previously. Surprised by this we were speaking about how unlikely it was when another man came over, he had heard about our 2014 trip through Sondre, from the RS and wondered if it was us! Small world! He very kindly invited us over to his boat for breakfast, really lovely!
Today we left heading north again but as the weather came in stronger than expected we decided to dive in to Bessaker. A small marina in the Roan kommune. Just as we were tying up a motorboat was being towed in, we spoke to the crew who are doing there own adventure from Trondheim to Tromso, today unfortunately they had suffered a water pump failure! Damn water pumps! We wish them all the best and hope its a quick fix. At 8 knots they will likely beat us there!
Now we are off for an early night, weather is set to be fairly uncomfortable for a few days so we will likely stay around here, going some nice walks if possible too.
